Revealing the Elements: A reflection of the

"I" through artistic work

The original forces of the universe, the true language:

Earth ~ memory

Water ~ search

Air ~ movement

Fire ~ courage

We entered into the realm of the elements, paid attention to those moments when from the depths of our souls we made the quality and activity of an element visible, with which we engaged in order to find these qualities within ourselves. With no judgments arising only facts, facts that we explored unconsciously, taking part in the foundation of our structure.

These forces are living among, within and working with us in every moment.

We shed insight into our senses, investigated the elements through a creative artistic process of clay modeling and charcoal drawing.

For example the appearance of air as an element is often associated with flexibility, is everywhere. As a reflection of dance.

Earth element represents the opposite of the air element, appearing as fixed, stable, as a reflection of heaviness.

We worked with the differences and revealed the space, bringing the “in between” into living.

We asked, “What can I bring from myself to create balance? Which elements are needed?”

The more we touched and changed our sculpted clay hearts, we were able to wonder about what was revealed. The elements became a tool to relate to the human condition.

Then the objective experience of the outer and the inner world unite.

The more thorough the preparation, the more the essence can be achieved through simple means.

Through inspiration we discovered that together we can rise upwards, we can nourish each other, open one's own heart, become aware of our individual steps and listen to each other needs; as a reflection of humanity.

Our questions that we carried through the process-

What do I want?

What is my intention?

How do I carry my impact into the world?

How do I give? how do I receive?

As a responsible participant I opened a sacred space that allowed us to meet, accept each others freedom,  encourage empathy, create trust, be guided through a social process to form a group dynamic, release and invite our individuality to come in.

During the journey we explored, asked questions, opened our selves and got the chance to know more about how the elements reflect and relate to our daily inner and outer life.

Waldorf Education

As an art teacher I experience the magic of art, the help that art is able to bring in subconscious processes.

The effect that stays with us, fills our inner life with answers...

I believe in the power of art in education, the importance of experiencing our self from childhood, even when a child paints a whole circle it means something, showing how inner organs develop.

As a teacher, you have the potential to observe & embrace the karma of the soul of each child.
